Under Italian law, installations must undergo periodic testing of grounding systems and lightning protection systems.
DPR 462/01 AND ARTICLE 86 of the Consolidated Law on Occupational Health and Safety require regular inspections of electrical systems in both public and private workplaces. Meet deadlines and avoid heavy penalties. In healthcare facilities, construction sites and workplaces with a higher risk of fire or explosion, employers are required to inspect grounding systems, lightning protection systems, and electrical installations every 2 years. In ordinary environments, the interval is 5 years.
Failure to comply may result in civil and criminal penalties following inspections by INAIL, NAS, or the LABOUR INSPECTORATE.
If a workplace accident occurs or equipment is damaged due to a lack of inspection, or in cases of serious or repeated violations, business operations may also be suspended.
