The D.P.C.M. of December 5, 1997, implementing Law No. 447 of October 26, 1995, “Framework Law on Noise Pollution”, establishes the passive acoustic requirements that buildings must comply with to:

Who must carry out the verification
If your construction company builds or renovates acoustic testing is mandatory. You are required to perform the verification of passive acoustic requirements (Acoustic Testing) in all cases of:
New construction
Renovation involving the total or partial reconstruction of the building
Testing is necessary to submit the application for the building’s certificate of occupancy. Without this certification, you cannot complete the authorization process.
Who can conduct the measurements
Only licensed technicians can guarantee legal validity. Sound level measurements must be performed by a Competent Technician in Acoustics, licensed and registered in the ENTCA registry (established by Legislative Decree 42/2017)

What the verification consists of
In-situ measurements with professional equipment. To verify the limits of noise between different real estate units, external noise, and impact noise, we perform field tests directly at your property using specific equipment:
Tapping machine to simulate the noise of footsteps
Dodecahedron sound source to generate the reference sound field
Façade noise loudspeaker to test external acoustic insulation
At the end of the measurements, we issue a certification consisting of a technical report that includes:
Results of the measurements carried out in-situ
Comparison tables between detected values and legal limits
Regulatory compliance assessment
